COVID-19

The Coronavirus now seems to be impacting virtually every aspect of our lives with the Worldwide Health Organisation (WHO) declaring it a pandemic. As a global business, we continue to take advice from reliable worldwide organisations and our insurers. The health and wellbeing of our team is paramount, we’ve taken measures to supply our office site with additional hand sanitation products, blood O2 measuring device, and all available advice. All non-essential travel has now been postponed, and face to face client meetings, or attendance at any trade organisation meetings, suspended or carried out via telephone conferencing.

Worldwide, our service to customers currently remains unaffected (except for closed border locations), though we are reviewing everything on a daily basis. Rest assured, we will continue to provide clients with the service available. Our 3rd party inspectors are still operating within their individual regions, wherever possible.

Our UK based personnel are available for travel, by safest means available, to any Client vessel in accessible parts of Europe – though we are aware of some countries now having closed borders and others potentially following.

Our main focus is, of course, the health and wellbeing of our employees, sub-contractors, vessel crews (of ship’s we attend) and their families. As vessels are still fully operational to provide services to the offshore industry so we – as a company – will still offer attendance, if the vessel operator requires/permits. Prior to any attendance we will supply a document which will confirm the fact that the attending inspector has no symptoms (that he is aware of) directly related to the COVID-19 virus. We will also advise where the inspector has travelled in the preceding 4 weeks. We would ask the same information of any vessel crews where there has been a crew change, of any personnel, within the last two weeks.
